Not that I have to give you motivation, but be sure to keep your phones in hand. Yes, I mean more than one. Following the pun intended footsteps of Ryan (season 1), Ivan (season 2), Hok (season 3), Twitch (season 4), yet another dancer from the Southern California hip hop scene steps out of the community and into the limelight as one of the Top 20 Top 16 on Season 6 of So You Think You Can Dance.

Pauline Mata, 19, is a jazz dancer from West Covina, CA. Pauline teaches dance at Dellos Dance Studio in Walnut, CA. Her hobbies include singing karaoke and eating a lot, like a lot a lot. She joined our circuit with Mavyn Entertainment in 2007, first seen at Team Millennia’s S.I. 4  Showcase (she’s the girl in the beginning that gets the applause):

From then on there just has been no stopping her. Already rigorously trained and teaching at her home studio Dello’s, she took on leadership as a director for Mavyn Marvels, a junior team, and has been featured in many workshops and master classes. I got to dance with her last year, and I must say it’s no surprise to see her make it this far. She’s got incredible range and commands the stage effortlessly. This season is already up and running, having had three episodes and four dancers eliminated, but due to the World Series this will be the first time America can vote. She’s a firecracker and is quickly gaining the affection of the judges! Be sure to support her!
