Prelude Norcal returns to the wonderful city of San Mateo, and this year’s line-up comes with the usual and a couple of surprises. The usuals such as Phoenix Dance Co. and Shades will be present, but what’s surprising is that all three winners from last years competition will not be competing for various reasons. That’s Fresh was a concept that was developed in 2006 by Sean Hsieh and Linda Domingo, but now has expanded to include a diverse group of authors such as: David Yi, Jeff Moreno, Daniel Lee, and Kym Bisnar. The website’s goal is to capture the magic behind the Southern California dance circuit as we know it and showcase it to the world.
